Quick week night meals are what we are all after these days. After the afternoon rush we need something we can get on the table quickly… and that tastes really good. Not always an easy thing to do. Add in a big boost of protein and these are a five minute tacos are sure to please everyone around your table! Thank you to Beyond Meat for partnering with me on this post.
I’m falling more and more in love with really quick meals.
I thought it was just back to school time that was zapping my spare time, but here it is almost November and I’m still feeling the rush. Thankfully I’m adding more recipes to my quick meal collection and that is making all the difference!
My latest one is a recipe for five minute tacos!
This is another one of my recipes that I feel bad even calling a recipe. It is so easy to make that it shouldn’t be associated with the word recipe. Seriously!
Five minute tacos:
- Beyond Meat- Beyond Beef
- Taco Shells
- Taco Spices
- Lemons and limes (optional)
- Add Beyond Beef and diced tomatoes to a pan. Heat on medium heat until hot.
- Add taco seasoning to the Beyond Beef.
- Add Beyond Beef mixture to the taco shell.
- Top with lettuce and sliced avocado.
Since we are already devoted Beyond Meat eaters I invited my parents over for dinner as a taste test. My dad is a devote meat eater and my mom is a self described picky eater so I thought they would be the perfect people to try it out on. I didn’t mention that I was using Beyond Meat, just that we were having tacos for dinner.
They seemed to really enjoy the meal… my dad even had seconds! So I thought the time was right to share that the tacos had 100% Plant Protein!
Here is what my parents thought… two thumbs up!!!
They both said the texture was exactly what they would expect from traditional beef and the flavor too! Success!
