I really thought my first was going to be a boy.

For some reason I was just convinced that I was having a boy and when the ultrasound tech told me she was actually a girl, I was shocked and stunned. Fast forward to this happening again and then I realized that whatever my gut was telling me, I should trust the opposite… at least when it comes to the gender of my babies!

After the shock wore off I started to think of the benefits of having girls. On that list was “girls are awesome” and “not having to worry about tons of messy laundry”. I figured girls would be so much cleaner and I wouldn’t be controlled by my laundry schedule. I was right about girls being awesome… but totally wrong about the laundry situation. Girls are just as messy as boys and I practically live in the laundry room. Everyday is laundry day around here!

Sure, her clothes look all clean in these pictures… but as soon as the camera was put down it was a dirt fest!

The truth is that I love having girls and I love spending time with them… and I don’t love doing laundry so when I do have to do it I want it to be as quick and effective as possible, so I can get back to being with them. One thing I just learned is that most likely the extra SUDS could be slowing down my laundry process! New Tide® HE Turbo Clean™ is the detergent that will save time and create a more efficient laundry process for me and I’m all over that! Bring on quicker laundry!

I love that What’s Up Moms video! You see what I’m talking about now, right? I love how this group of moms is conquering the laundry room with Tide® HE Turbo Clean™.

Seriously. Tide® HE Turbo Clean™ detergents save time and water using proprietary, quick-dissolving Smart Suds™ technology that helps prevent HE Machines from running additional rinse cycles…up to 25 minutes of cycle time.

There is also a detergent for everyone.

I was raised using a powder detergent but now I prefer liquid and they have both! Tide® HE Turbo Clean™ is available in Tide® liquid detergent, Tide Pods® pacs and Tide® powder formula. Many HE washing machines have 40% larger drums (vs. traditional machines) and can wash up to 32 pounds of laundry. That’s a lot of dirt and Tide® HE Turbo Clean™ handles it like a pro!

A first-of-its-kind, the HE Turbo Clean™ formula is the #1 recommended detergent by leading HE washer manufacturers.

How do you make laundry more fun?

  • You’re right, the laundry never ends. I have used Tide for years and have always been very happy with it.

    • I have also used Tide for years. It seems like an endless battle with laundry in my house.

  • I don’t mind doing laundry…I mind getting it from the wash to the dryer. Then there is the folding and putting away….I don’t have an HE washer, but Tide is a wonderful brand.

  • My kids are of the four legged variety. If one dog gets past you and into the house on a rainy day, you’re doing laundry for three days!

  • I can’t even begin to describe the amount of laundry my husband and my son make. Luckily we have a high capacity front loader, so I can get a ton of it done in a short amount of time.

  • I make my laundry more fun by pouring in more soap and softener than you are suppose to. That way when I fold the laundry, I am in a field of lavender.

  • It seems like we have a load of laundry in all the time. I make laundry fun by getting my husband to do it.

  • I hear you yet when you use quality products doing laundry could be much more easier. I love Tide and I have a front loader and their product works like a charm.

  • I have no clue on how to make laundry more fun. I tend to do laundry every day. I use gain as my family has sensitive. Not everything will work for us.

  • Right now I only have to do laundry for myself. When my kids come to visit there will be three times as much laundry! Anything that makes it faster and easier is welcome in my life!

  • Ha! I can relate to your DD, my mom thought I was a ‘boy belly’ also but thankfully had a feeling she was wrong. So my mom bought all boy stuff and my grandma bought all girl stuff! The idea that boys are ‘messier’ than girls is such a misconception!

  • I’m not sure I have any tips to make laundry more fun. It’s always been a chore I don’t really want to do!

  • I grew up with Tide in the house. I’ve followed my mother’s example and have used it for the 40 years of my adult married life. I wouldn’t dream of using any other brand.

  • Isn’t that the truth as a Mom I never seem to be finished laundry. I do love Tide it is the only detergent I will use. I will certainly be trying this out! thanks for sharing..

  • I hate doing laundry, so I taught my kids how to do their own :-). Hubby does his own, so I’m left with my own and the linens and towels, which is alright by me! Hey, if we’re a family, we might as well all take part in doing the laundry as a family, lol!

  • Every day IS laundry day when you’re a mom. I’ve always used Tide. It’s so much better than all the rest, in my opinion.

  • The one gift I give myself each week is to send out our laundry … there is just something about getting back perfectly folded bagged laundry from the cleaners. I know they use Tide and I absolutely LOVE the smell of our laundry when it comes back.

  • We do a crazy amount of laundry at our house! I swear my kids probably wear two outfits a day, each! I make it a little bit more fun by making sure the kids get in on the chore! lol

  • My girls definitely stain their clothing as much, if not more, than their little brother. Doing laundry for five people is a big job but now that the kids are getting older they help a lot.

  • I don’t mind doing laundry to much. With kids it never ends lol. I like to sort all the clothes before i wash. At least kids clothes are small so you can fit a lot in the machine.

  • Laundry is never ending in our house. I have been thinking of getting a new washer and dryer set. A high efficiency set would be great.

  • Every day really is laundry day at my house. I do at least a load every night just to keep up. I would love to get a new high efficiency set.

  • We had a lot to learn when we went to HE but I have to admit my husband does all the laundry, although his back is hurt right now so I’ve had to do it so it’s piling up a bit.

  • “Every day is a laundry day when you are a mom” — SO TRUE. It is a neverending cycle (pun intended, LOL) I like to use Tide – it’s great for stains.

  • I love the Tide pods. So fun to toss into the washer & watching it bounce around before tossing in the dirty laundry.

  • I felt sorry for much mom when I was growing up. There were several times I would come home covered in mud or we went to the lake (from a nasty lake bc you would come out brown and fishy smelling). Then I played soccer.

My daughter used to change clothes several times a day, just because she could. She loved making laundry.

My youngest would go naked all day if I let him.

  • Laundry is my least favorite house chore. Hubby swore he would take over once I started working full time, but that didn’t happen. We used the pods too, which I love. I need an automatic laundry folder and put in drawers machine too!

  • Oh yes it is! I used to think it was just a boy thing, but after taking care of a little girl this summer, I realized I was so wrong. Laundry is a never ending chore.

  • I actually love doing the laundry. There’s something about this chore that I find very therapeutic and relaxing. Ironing clothes, on the other hand, is the chore that I detest the most.

  • We just got a new washer and not laundry is much easier. I don’t mind the washing and sorting it is the putting away part that is not fun for me… but I try to do it right after the load is done and it seems to be easier.

  • I like doing the laundry and taking off the stains is always a challenge. And yes, everyday is laundry day when you are a mom. I like to do it daily to keep on top of things.
