We are back with more of our family vacation to Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit at Velas Vallarta and Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit! We hope you enjoy these reviews and of course, special thanks to Velas Resorts for hosting us on our visits.

Our day started at Velas Vallarta where we enjoyed a late breakfast. Emmy had fun at the kids club and then we had tropical drinks by the pool! We had an absolutely amazing time and were a bit sad to leave, but we were also really excited to move over to another Velas Resort, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit!

Grand Velas is located about 20 minutes from the airport in Puerta Vallarta, in Riviera Nayarit.

This is one of the most luxurious all-inclusive resorts and one of our absolute favorites.

Even check-in is an experience. From welcome drinks to candy for the little ones, and a relaxing quick massage, the second you set foot in the lobby, you know that you are going to have a world-class vacation.

In fact, you don’t even check-in at the counter as you do at most resorts. Here you are welcomed and escorted to a table where you can relax while everything is handled for you. I really wish all resorts did this because it sets the tone for your visit and adds more vacation, to your vacation.

We were escorted to our room by our personal concierge and I (Heather) immediately was drawn to the balcony. This view is EVERYTHING!

There was a huge balcony off our suite with multiple access points. We ended up spending a lot of time out here.

In our two-bedroom family suite, we had a master suite with a huge bathroom, a separate bedroom for the girls with two beds and another huge bathroom… a family room, dining area, and another huge bathroom. It was perfect for us!

Beautiful and delicious welcome gifts!

Traveling with kids, I always love having snacks waiting for us.

Since this is an all-inclusive resort, you are welcome to order from the 24-hour room service menu, enjoy the snacks that are replenished daily (you can call for more at any time though), sip on the unlimited drinks and also eat at any of the restaurants. There are so many options!

After relaxing in the room, we toured the resort and enjoyed dinner.

The sunsets here are breathtaking!

The kids headed out later that evening for the circus show.

The entertainment here is nothing less than amazing. They also have the shows going no matter what the occupancy is, so you never miss the fun!

Be sure to watch the video (above) to see all the fun we had!

Have you been to an all-inclusive resort?
