Today is our last full day in Lancaster. Pete grew up here and has been taking us on a journey through his hometown and childhood. We’ve learned that you really can’t “go back”… things change too much. But you can make new memories and share the old ones to bring them back to life, even for a moment. I’m in awe of the friendliness and kindness of the people here. I always say that Pete is one of the nicest people on the planet. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body… and now I see where that came from. Today we are going to try to see a dairy farm, go apple picking and have real apple cider, eat a donut (or two) and sit by a pond. All things that he did growing up. I feel like I’ve grown up more since I’ve been here too!
