I had $104 worth of register rewards expiring so off I went to spend them. The ad this week was weak! So I decided to stock up on a few things that were priced right and then I used coupons to stretch the register rewards!

 I started at Walgreen’s. Two weeks ago I bought a bunch of register rewards items. I cashed most of them out in the form of Walgreen’s mail in rebates but I still had $104 to spend. Here is what I ended up with:

  • 28 boxes of macaroni and cheese {that will last us 7 months}
  • 7 packs of paper towels {use $1 Walgreens coupon and $1 insert coupon to make these $3 each}
  • 28 boxes of kleenex
  • 2 boxes of pancake mix
  • 1 pack of Tylenol Precise
  • 2 heat pads {buy one get one free}
  • 20 packs of seeds {I’m already getting excited about my garden}

    Sweet!!! You did awesome!

  2. How much were each?

  3. What does “cashed most of them out in the form of Walgreen’s mail in rebates” I’ve never heard of cashing your register rewards for mail in rebates?

    • Hi Carol! It just means that I used my RR’s to pay for an item that had a mail in rebate available. I’ll then get a check in the mail that I can cash. In the monthly coupon book {IVC} that Walgreen’s puts out there are mail in rebate details. The Walgreen’s ones are very easy to do… you enter them on your computer… you don’t even have to mail anything.
