I try to make my mornings run smoothly. My philosophy is that if you start your mornings out happy and healthy that you will set yourself up for a great day! The only problem is that I don’t have a lot of time in the morning so I have to be prepared! My girls LOVE smoothies so I created them this awesome one that is quick, easy, tastes great and really gives them a healthy start to the day!
When I was shopping at SAFEWAY I saw the Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder.
I had a really hard time deciding which flavor to choose. They have so many yummy flavors: Rich Milk Chocolate, Classic French Vanilla, Classic Chocolate Malt, Dark Chocolate, Strawberry Sensation, and the Variety Pack (which has multiple flavors).
The girls all tell me that their mornings are better and go smoother when they have a good breakfast.
There isn’t always time to make a big breakfast with the “works.” But I don’t let that keep me from whipping up a quick and nutritious smoothie for myself and my girls.
Making sure that my girls have protein to start their day is so important to me.
I want to set them up for a great day at school and keep it easy to stay focused in class without having their stomachs rumbling. Starting the day with 13 grams of protein, 21 Vitamins and Minerals, and as much calcium as a 6 oz. cup of yogurt is EASY with a Vanilla & Triple Berry Breakfast Smoothie made with Carnation Breakfast Essentials. We all know we need to get our vitamins in every day. And protein is proven to keep us full and focused for longer periods of time.
I myself love smoothies. They are so portable. I can grab mine and drink it in the car on the way to drop the girls off at school. I also love that the girls can make them too! With just a few ingredients and a Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder packet, a yummy smoothie can be whipped up.
We had a few busy weeks which have made our mornings a little more rushed, and that is when I came up with their favorite “Vanilla & Triple Berry Breakfast Smoothie! I’m so excited to share it with you!
Here is how you can whip up this smoothie in just a few minutes:
1. Start with 1 cup of ice.
2. Add a cup of frozen berries.
3. Add a cup of low-fat milk.
4. Add one pouch of Carnation Breakfast Essentials.
6. Blend. I use a personal blender and it works perfectly!
7. Enjoy!
This smoothie gives your morning a kick-start and is great for kids, teens, and adults. You can find a great collection of smoothie recipes using Carnation Breakfast Essentials on their website or on their Facebook Page.
Keep your mornings running smoothly with a Smoothie!
