trump miami breakfast

We woke up to a beautiful breakfast at travel partner, Trump International Beach Resort Miami. From the fresh fruit, to the surprise vegan french toast, the breakfast at Neomi’s inside the resort is one not to miss. We chose the buffet option, but you can also opt for table service.

Pete and Ash loved the omelet station and the super friendly omelet chef.

After breakfast we started a day packed with fun and new experiences.

jet ski

This was our first family jet skiing adventure. The hour ride went all the way down to Miami beach and then up to Hollywood, passing Tommy Hilfiger’s house along the way there.

There was even some time for kayaking and SUP! We highly recommend travel partner, Riviera Nautica for paddleboarding, kayaking, jet skiing and all your water sports needs on Sunny Isles Beach. They are focused on safety first and giving all guests a super fun time on the water in Miami.

After our time in the ocean, we decided to head up to the pools. We had two connecting cabanas for the day so we were eager to relax and enjoy them.

The luxury cabanas come with reserved lounge chairs in the most perfect spot. The girls enjoyed them before cooling off in the pool.

Pete and I both decided that we would be happy staying in the cabana for days. They were stocked with cool drinks, fruit platters that had chilled tropical fruit infused with the Trump Miami signature green juice, two full bathrooms with showers to rinse off in, two TV’s and couches, tables, and more. The cabanas here are more like a mini apartments then a typical cabana that you will find at most resorts. There are cabanas perfectly situated around both pools.

Our cabana was not too far from the kids club, which made it so easy for Emmy to go back and forth for all the activities. She had her face painted and her hair braided. Then, after lunch, she played an “amazing race” game with the other children. She loved meeting so many other kids from so many other places around the world. There were people from Southern California like we were, families from all over Europe, and from South America.

Back in our cabana, we had the pleasure of having Executive Chef Kurtis Jantz help prepare a truly memorable lunch. This meal was also all vegan and the flavors were carefully chosen to compliment each other and the Miami culture. We all thought it was simple superb! From the vegan ceviche made with hearts of palms, to the empanada, everything was fresh and delicious.

We spent the remainder of the day poolside with intermittent walks down the beach. Em looks so tiny next to all the big buildings on the beach! Sunny Isles is a beach like no other. It has a distinct “Miami” feel, but with more of a luxury family friendly undertone. The colors of the water here are very reminiscent of those in Turk’s and Caicos. Because the beach is not the easiest for locals to access, it stays relatively calm and less filled up than other beaches in Miami. When you stay at Trump Miami, you are provided beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels. There is a tropical hut in the beach that you walk up to and they set you up from there. You don’t have to lift a finger!

We enjoyed the sunset from our balcony this evening enjoying some food we brought up to our room. After all the excitement from earlier this day, the girls all went to sleep early….which never happens with Maddie. I knew it was a good day when she was asleep right after the sunset. I’m glad we had a full kitchen in our suite, because I’m not sure Emmy would have had the energy to go out. If we were staying longer, we would have done what most guests do….stock up on groceries at the store across the street. It is really convenient being able to make full meals, or just have snacks there for the kids. We tend to eat out instead of making food, but we do have snacks in the room often. Another feature that we used multiple times was the full sized washer and dryer in our suite. From washing and drying bathing suits, to doing daily laundry on a long trip like this, it is one of the most used amenities that we really look forward to having.

What are your favorite resort amenities?
