Special thanks to Penguin Young Readers for sponsoring this very special post featuring a new holiday tradition.
We are starting a new tradition in our home to bring kindness back to Christmas with the North Pole Ninjas! The North Pole Ninjas, Mission Christmas, a new book by Tyler Knott Gregson and Sarah Linden is in Stores Now and recommended for ages 4 – 8. Emmy at age 6 (almost 7) absolutely loved this gift set. Her eyes showed so much excitement when I surprised her with this gorgeously illustrated picture book that retells the ancient legend the North Pole Ninjas use for new recruits.
As we read the book, we started talking about why kindness, listening to others, and spreading joy means to those around us. We also discussed how it gives us a warm feeling in our own hearts when we are kind and do something nice for others.
The North Pole Ninjas gift set comes complete with a plush and huggable “sensei” to guide Ninjas on their journey. This is the perfect antidote to worrying about whether your child has been naughty or nice, and Emmy really enjoyed cuddling with hers as we read the story.
The story talks about how you may not know that Santa has a team of special elves selected for their ability to help carry out top-secret missions that are all about helping, giving, caring, and listening, but he does! Anyone who receives this box is called upon to help carry out those top-secret missions with a bit of stealth and an open heart.
Emmy and I sat down with the Christmas tree sparkling in the background and mugs of hot cocoa in front of us to do some planning for the 50 Ninja missions we were provided packed in a special envelope. Emmy even downloaded the North Pole Ninjas pledge card here!
We are going to have so much fun doing these and we can’t wait to share them with you in the coming weeks!
These pledge cards are such a wonderful idea. It teaches children to be kind to one another, and its so fun to give to others!
I love the whole idea behind this. It’s definitely great to get kids learning early that kindness goes a long way.
These are so awesome! Fun prompts and ideas for memories created. Love it!!
I love these little prompts! My daughter would totally love this book and the secret missions.
Teaching kids the act of kindness is so important! I love this way of doing it with the North Pole Ninjas.
That is no doubt the perfect book for kids. I would love for my nephew and nieces to have that book. They’ll love it!
My kids would love this book! Thanks for hosting a fun giveaway !
This is a fantastic idea. Teaching kids early the rush that comes with giving and doing for others can do nothing but make the world a better place.
cute little ninja! love the concept of this, teaching kindness is such a valuable tool to give to others, esp kids (teach them young is what I say!)
What an awesome idea! I love that it teaches kids that being a good, kind person feels even better than getting a gift.
what a sweet way to share kindness. i think my son would resonate with the ninjas more so than with elves, lol.
I absolutely love the concept behind this book. Teaching kids that Christmas isn’t just about getting presents!
This is the second time I’ve heard of this book and I’m still in love with the whole concept of it. I will definitely be getting this and sharing it with my little sister.

I really really really really (did I mention really) want this, but we don’t celebrate Christmas. Do you know if they make it for other faiths? Or just for doing kind acts in general?
I love love love the concept of North Pole Ninjas. I think it’s the perfect gift for kids because it will encourage acts of kindness.
