I do my grocery shopping on the weekends like most people… but this past weekend I went early so I could pick up some snacks for us to eat while we watched the football games.
I was so excited to turn these cheese sticks into homemade antipasto skewers with the cheese cut into chunks and fresh tomatoes and other yummy veggies… drizzled with balsamic vinegar. But that almost didn’t happen because the girls ate almost all of the cheese before I could get to it!
I did make the skewers and the girls liked my recipe… but they were more excited about just eating the cheese plain.
My middle daughter kept saying how much creamier and more flavorful Crystal Farms cheese tasted to her. She loved it…
So even though I created a really awesome recipe, I was reminded that sometimes less is more. We ended up snacking on the cheese right when we got home, during a little impromptu outdoor picnic and then again during the game with the antipasto skewers. After I saw how much they loved the cheese plain, “less is more” is my new mantra!
This was my first time hearing about Crystal Farms… even though they have been making cheese since 1926!
Crystal Farms® brand is one of the largest cheese brands in the country, located in Lake Mills, Wisconsin and they are devoted to delivering consistent quality and great tasting products for what they love – cheese!
Have you even done “cheers” with cheese? We have!
We said “cheers” to Crystal Farms Cheese because it is a natural product with few preservatives. It is also a rich source of calcium, gluten free and lactose tolerant.
I found it in the in the refrigerated dairy section at my local grocery store!
So, next time you are thinking of the perfect snack or football party food grab some Crystal Farms cheese! It also is perfect in your favorite recipes… I can’t wait to cook with it… here are some Crystal Farms Favorites for you to try!
I have to say, string cheese is fun at any age. I love how you put them on skewers for your salad! Certainly dresses them up, doesn’t it.
That sounds so good. It’s a perfect lunch if you ask me.
That looks delicious. Bonus for making it quick and easy! Yum!
Yum! That sounds delicious! We love to eat cheese in our house!
The skewers look so good. What a great way to use the chicken sticks.
We just bought cheese sticks and this is a recipe I can eat and not feel guilty.
I love cheese—and eat it all the time–plain by itself!! I never heard of this brand but will certainly be looking for it!
Oh man I just love to eat cheese any which way!
This looks delicious! I love recipes that are tasty and easy to make. Yum!
You had me at “three minutes”. This look delicious, and you can’t ask for a better prep time than three minutes!
Delicious, healthy, and three minutes to make? I’m sold! I have three kids, so anything yummy, healthy, and fast is ALWAYS a winner for me.
Fast easy and cheesy.. thats something my kids and i would eat all the time!
These look so delicious. Skewers are always fun to eat and easy to make.
As if I thought Antipasto could get any better! Seriously I love those skewers ideas! They look delicious too!
Great ideas for skewers! I always used to have some string cheese on hand for the kids in the house!
I buy these for the kids, but I admit to loving them myself. Adult or not, I can’t resist peeling them into strings. So good – so fun!
String cheese and its many wonders! Call me crazy, but I snack on string cheese!
Those caprese skewers look amazing! I am going to have to try those! We usually just eat our string cheese right out of the package.
Omg how amazing is this!!!???? Using string cheese?!? I’m definitely going to be using this sometime soon!
These look great! I love how simple they are, too!
Those skewers are pretty!! I can see why the kids like the cheese plain, though. My favorite way to eat cheese is on a bagel sandwich.
My very favorite way to eat cheese is on top of a cheeseburger. 😉
String cheese is a go-to snack for us. Such pretty skewers thanks for the idea!
These antipasto skewers are one of my favorite snacks ever. I have never used string cheese though and I really love that idea. I’ll have to keep an eye out for Crystal Farms brand.
You did such a great job at turning ordinary string cheese into a beautiful appetizer. Looks tasty!
Anything quick and easy to make I am on board, though I am not a big cheese fan but this looks lovely
I could eat my weight in string cheese. Seriously. It’s the perfect snack for me though….with some veggies or fruit in the middle of the day. Yum! Your skewers look delish….I’d love to try those.
I love how simple this is to make, I really love string cheese with a passion; one of my secret obsessions!
Those skewers look delicious. The perfect things to have in the summer with a nice salad I think.
I love Crystal Farms cheesesticks. My husband and I eat them all the time at home, because they are actually relatively low-cal for being cheese.
Yum! This is a great idea for those unexpected guests and you need a snack or appetizer while you make a meal!
Wow, that is creative! Yes, I agree sometimes less is more! YUM!
That dish looks delicious. I usually eat cheese on some sort of cracker.

These are so perfect and easy for entertaining. I’ll have to try these for our next party!
How nice to give the serving dish away! I like skewers, they hit the spot for lunch!
String cheese is its own food group. I love this idea.
The kids like string cheese here too. I’ve been known to grab one once in awhile too. I like the idea of making skewers.
We love cheese any old way around here….cheese sticks, cubes, shredded, whatever. I considered going vegan but can’t give up cheese!
Yum! I have this same recipe on my blog! Seeing yours makes me want to go buy these ingredients again. I had forgotten how much I love these skewers! Yum!
I loved string cheese when I was a kid and I still love string cheese now. What a great way to use it that is healthy and fun.
