This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hear the World. All opinions are 100% mine.

Did you know that hearing loss affects 15% of the world’s population yet it receives little recognition or acknowledgement? Nearly half the cases are preventable too which makes raising awareness so very important!

I’ve been learning about hearing loss and I was shocked that about 660,000 children are born annually with significant hearing loss. That is a lot of the worlds children. Hear the World promotes projects that support children with hearing loss, to enable them to develop at an appropriate rate for their age and to give access to school education.

Hear the World Foundation envisions a world in which everyone has the opportunity to experience good hearing… which is a cause that I totally support too!

To help increase awareness for the importance of good hearing, Hear the World Foundation relies on its ambassadors who appear in an annual calendar photographed by globally recognized musician and photographer, Bryan Adams. The celebrity ambassadors are photographed in the Hear the World “pose” synonymous with conscious hearing.

To show my support I too took a photo in the Hear the World pose and I shared it.

To show your support, and to help raise awareness you can take your own Hear the World photo and post it using the #HearTheWorld hashtag. Select shared photos may be used in education video to be released by Hear the World too!

You will also be entered to win the calendar giveaway when you share your photo.

Whether you are a winner or not you can also purchase the calendar and 100% of proceeds from calendar sales go to the Hear the World Foundation

After you share your photo be sure to leave me a link in the comments!

Do you know someone who has been affected by hearing loss?
