Now that summer is coming I’m getting the itch to eat better. I want my food to taste as fresh as possible and I’m loving light pasta dishes like this one I just made. If you are like me and super busy, but still want that fresh taste, but you don’t want to worry about your food spoiling before you eat it, you need to learn more about the benefits of frozen foods.
I recently went to the store and bought some of my favorite frozen foods. I like to use frozen foods to make my usual dishes even better!
For dinner tonight I took my normal pasta that is super easy (just a drizzle of olive oil and seasoning salt) and I added frozen broccoli and carrots! I love using frozen foods because frozen is how foods stay fresh. Freezing naturally pauses inspired recipes made with fresh, quality ingredients and suspends them there until the moment you are ready to enjoy them. Thus, locking in freshness, flavor, and nutrients. And the taste too! The taste of fresh frozen foods is amazing! Here is more info on fresh vs frozen.
I love how frozen foods (like my pasta dish), are a simple and natural pause button that keeps just picked, baked and crafted foods at the peak of freshness!
One of the biggest benefits for me is that frozen foods are ready when we are. They allow me and my busy family to enjoy a wholesome, tasty meal around the dining table quickly, which gives us more time to have fun and enjoy the warm summer evenings!
We also have frozen pizzas night on weeknights once a week. It’s a great way for us to eat some great food on busy school nights. And I love that the freshness has been “frozen” in!

That sounds really good. My family loves meals like this.
I’m a big frozen foods person. I use them all the time as lunch, sides, dinner, so many things. I always have broccoli around, by the way. 🙂
I love the convenience of frozen foods. You don’t have to worry about when they’re going to go bad!
I love Green Giant Broccoli. The best when you don’t have fresh
I recently heard that it’s much better to get things that aren’t in season frozen instead of from a weird country. And, now I want pizza and broccoli.
Frozen things are GREAT when they aren’t in season. Berries and veggies are cheaper in the frozen section!
I love frozen foods and use them all the time. Frozen foods are the second best way to eat “fresh”. Thanks for sharing.
Looks delicious and made fast. Sometimes I forget about the frozen options and will have to keep this in mind for those nights that demand a change in schedule.
I prefer frozen broccoli. It makes it so easy to add some veggies to my meal!
I buy a lot of frozen food. We love frozen veggies. I can open the bag, use what we need, and still have some left for the next time!
I always stock up on the frozen veggies when they are on sale. I find that they taste just as good as fresh in my cooked meals!
I am all about frozen food! It’s not quite as tasty as fresh, but it’s much better than canned.
I do use frozen foods probably more than I should. But from what I have read, frozen vegetables can be just as healthy as fresh, especially if the fresh are not so fresh.
I’ve been buying more and more frozen produce lately. They taste great and work great in recipes, plus I don’t have to throw them out because they went bad before we could use them!
I have never tried frozen broccoli in dishes. Seems like it would save a lot of time, and still be just as good!
Frozen foods are uber convenient. I keep florettes in the freezer too, and we’ve always got a frozen pizza or two, just in case we need a quick meal.
Love that you can plan ahead and make dinner simple with this one. My kiddos would love this dish.
These are great tips! Keeping food frozen can really make it more economical for many families when it comes to food preparation. 🙂
We buy alot of frozen veggies too. Especially things like broccoli just because it’s perfect for quick meals like that. I love to buy fresh for making my own veggie trays though. I much prefer frozen over canned, anytime I can.
I love frozen foods! They save a lot of time and work. Years ago we bought a second hand freezer just for stocking up on our favorite frozen foods.
Your pasta looks delicious! Isn’t it great what adding a few vegetables can do!
Frozen foods can definitely be quite the time saver but the trick to frozen foods is finding the ones that are healthy for you! Speaking of broccoli, I’ve been on quite the broccoli kick lately 🙂
We always always always have frozen veggies on hand. That’s what fills most of our spare freezer!!!
We always have frozen veggies in the house. Always. They are great for a quick side, and they really help out in dishes like your pasta. They are a staple item for my family.
I keep frozen broccoli and spinach on hand all the time. I sneak them into nearly every dish.
I always have a stock of frozen veggies in our freezer. I love the summer veggies (squash, peppers, onions) so I can eat them all year!
That dish sounds really great. I always have a bunch of fresh broccoli as my son loves it. I just might try this with quinoa pasta. Yum!
I love frozen foods and use it often in my cooking. That pasta looks yummy!
Your pasta looks good! I like using frozen veggies because I don’t have to worry about them going bad if our schedule changes and our meal plan gets adjusted by a few days.
I think frozen foods come in handy for busy families. It’s great that they stay ‘fresh’ in the freezer until we are ready to use them. No more guilt about having to throw out unused produce!
Frozen veggies are a time saver for me. I do love my fresh veggies but when I’m short on time frozen wins!
I buy quite a few frozen organic veggies as they work out to be much cheaper than fresh veggies. Plus they cook quickly.
I love frozen vegetables. My kids like these better than canned so I try to get them whenever I can. I don’t know it’s just taste so much better when you buy products frozen or fresh.
