Disneyland during the holidays is an experience not to be missed. We go every year to see the decorations and to get in the Christmas spirit. I’ve put together this guide to help you plan your trip to Disneyland this holiday season…
What not to miss:
Have you seen World of Color- Winter Dreams yet? If not this needs to be on the top of your list… it’s so good I’m making it #1 on this guide. If you have seen it before you will want to see it again as they added scenes from FROZEN and holiday music like Jingle Bells! It really puts you in the Christmas spirit! I am in awe each time I see it and I would highly recommend you see it too!
What to see if you have a little one that loves Princesses:
If you do nothing but wander around Disneyland and California Adventure and enjoy all the decorations you will have a great time! My favorite is the castle. It’s truly amazing and breath taking!
Where to take your little CARS Fans:
Who loves CARS LAND? I do… and I love it even more with snow caps and wreathes! There is even a great photo opp “Tire Christmas Tree”, which reminds me… be sure to bring your camera or have one of the Disney photographers take your picture with some of the decorations. I talked to multiple people who were going to use these pictures for their Christmas cards. I think that’s a brilliant idea!
What to see if you like live action fun:
Between the parades and bands playing holiday music… it’s Christmas everywhere! There is even a daily performance of the parade, “A Christmas Fantasy”!
What to see if you are a Disneyland Regular:
I was so excited to hear that The Jungle Cruise was transformed into The Jingle Cruise! It’s A Small World and The Haunted Mansion also have holiday makeovers right now!
What to eat that is only served for a limited time:
You didn’t think I’d forget the food did you? I really love beignets! It might have been all the years of french I took in high school and college, or it could just be that they taste fantastic. I guess we will never know. What I do know is that these gingerbread ones are AMAZING! You can find them at Cafe Orleans, it’s a little walk up window close to where the train boards.
How to end your visit:
Be sure to end your day on a high note by watching the fireworks spectacular “Believe… in Holiday Magic” and enjoy the nightly snowfall on Main Street, USA!
