This summer we are going to get more beach time. I say this each year and then work and other obligations get in the way. We decided we needed to find a place to get away to that maybe doesn’t have the best wi-fi signal but does have a lot of places where we can be together as a family and enjoy the ocean air. We found this paradise oasis in Gulf County, Florida!

We are all dreaming about us going salt water and fresh water fishing. Snorkeling, diving and just relaxing on the white sandy beaches!

There is also kayaking and paddle boarding for the kids and those young at heart! I can already see my husband and older kids spending all day on the water because there are so many things to do and memories to make! There are even boat launching docks!

If you are looking for a bit more land adventure be sure to enjoy the camping opportunities! There is something for everyone. From cabins (that’s totally where I’ll be staying) to RV’s and then there are tents and even primitive sites. The Gulf County has so much to offer and so many ways to connect with nature!

I think my favorite activity is all the walking and hiking trails! It’s one of our favorite things to do and I can already smell all the fresh air! I can see the kids all running down the trails and having the time of their lives!

There are lots of places to go to when you Come visit GCFL… including Indian Pass, Cape San Blas, The Beaches and Wewahitchka. But I think Port St. Joe is my favorite place to visit. We would explore the local farmers market, eat at one of the local restaurants, (like the Sunset Coastal Grill) and spend hours walking and playing on the playgrounds. We might even have a snack on the picnic tables.

Here are some other cool facts about Gulf County, Florida… There are two time zones and only two traffic signals. I can totally see us trying to be together but in separate time zones! It really is a place of peaceful relaxation and outdoor fun! I know that we would have to stop and take a picture with half our family in each time zone! There is also the authentic and legendary Tupelo Honey that is farmed in Gulf County. We would have to stop in and buy some!

Who would you take if you visited Gulf County, Florida?
