Last weekend we had the pleasure of being the guests of Kia at the Kia Classic and staying at the Park Hyatt Aviara. We had a great weekend getaway and I’m so excited to share the highlights of our trip with you all!

Before we left for the weekend Kia kindly arranged to have a 2016 Sorento delivered to our home to enjoy during our time at the Kia Classic.

We loved it! Every time we are in a Kia we are more and more impressed. Pete loves the adaptive cruise control and I was stunned at the backup camera abilities. The birds eye view is a huge jump in backup camera technology and something I’m going to want all future vehicles I purchase to have.

The drive to the Park Hyatt Aviara was relaxing (no kids). I think that about says it all about why it was so peaceful!

Everything about the Park Hyatt Aviara is luxurious and every person we encountered on our weekend went above and beyond to make our visit perfect. I fell in love with the tropical scent that encompasses you right as you want in. I’m working on defining exactly what it is so I can recreate it at home. It was a deep floral with a tropical flare. Totally relaxing!

Our room was beautiful and had a view off the balcony of the lush landscaping.

Dinner was at Vivace. The food was memorable and delicious. I am already planning to go back for this salad.

The next morning we woke up early for a ride up the coast in the Sorento to go whale watching.

We saw a Minke Whale but it was too quick for pictures, but the dolphins were totally performing for us!

Back at the Aviara and throughout the afternoon we ordered room service and enjoyed the property.

And then it was golf day! We had a cup of coffee on the balcony and then we enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the California Bistro. Everything was fresh and it was the perfect way to start the day!

The day was already off to an amazing start… and it just kept getting better!

As we arrived onto the course we both commented on how exciting it was. Everyone was in such a great mood and enjoying the players and the warm weather. I stopped as soon as I saw the Kia K900. It’s pretty much a dream car. Like, everything you could possibly dream about having in a car is in it. It is so comfortable while still feeling like a luxury vehicle. If you haven’t seen it in person do… it’s really cool!

We got to the Kia Sky Box and enjoyed lunch right as the first round of golfers started on the 18th hole. I could barely eat because I was so excited for them all. As soon as they were done we decided to walk around and see more players. I am amazed at each of their talents. They were all very inspiring.
