Las Vegas With Kids

One of our favorite parts of our yearly family vacation to Las Vegas is the food!

There is no place in the world that has as many amazing restaurants in one place as Vegas. I’m on a mission to try them all. We started our trip’s eating tour with a stop at Carmine’s Las Vegas. I’m sure you’ve heard of the world famous Carmine’s in New York… this is their Vegas location and it’s everything they are known for!

The restaurant is HUGE!

It definitely has that fast-paced New York feel and the tables are set up for very big parties down to intimate dates. I think of every meal like it’s an experience instead of just a time to eat. Carmine’s does too!

Let’s talk about the food.

Everything is served family style. Even with 5 of us one dish still left us with leftovers. They are that big. We started with the Grilled Portobello Salad. It was perfection and we could have left completely full after just having this. If you like mushrooms I would highly recommend this.

As if that salad wasn’t enough we then had bread.

Bread is a word that makes me smile. I LOVE bread, but this bread, well it deserves a medal. The flavor was just right and the cheese, well it was dripping off. Total winner!

Then it was time for pasta.

We decided to try their famous Penne Alla Vodka! Total awesomeness. I don’t even care if that is a real word or not. It was amazing.

Since the dishes are all served family style The Little One was able to sample all of the different dishes which thrilled her to pieces. Besides the great taste and service, Carmine’s is one of the top dining spots in Vegas because of the value.  With dishes this big it’s hard for other restaurants to compete. They are also able to seat large parties at all times.

I am still dreaming of this pasta dish.

Do you see those slices of garlic? I could eat garlic all day long and never get sick of it so as soon as I saw this I knew we were in for a treat! The sauce was so thick and full of flavor. I will be ordering this again!

carmines reviewEvery once in a while you take a picture that explains a moment better than any words could.

This was that moment. Seconds before our awesome server set down the “Titanic” at our table and I snapped this shot. Do you see the excitement and joy in her face?! If you only go to Carmine’s because of this that’s okay. This was the most impressive dessert I’ve ever had. Every inch of it was decadent and out of this world amazing. If you have kids, you have to surprise them with it. Little One is STILL talking about it.

You won’t believe all that is in this dessert…

It starts with a Flourless Chocolate Torte {my favorite part} then all of these are piled on top: Vanilla Ice Cream, Chocolate Ice Cream, Whipped Cream, Sliced Strawberries, Sliced Bananas, Pineapple, Chocolate Syrup, Chopped Hazelnuts and Chocolate Swirl Cookies!
