Yesterday was another beautiful day. Clear, warm and good deals were had by all… well at least my oldest daughter and I.
Once a week the girls all have pizza for dinner. I’m no Chef and I’m certainly not a cook so we do what we have to do in our house. That means I choose a few meals I know I can handle and we rotate through them
every week. This helps me save money and my sanity. Keeping easy meals on hand stops the impulsive fast food pickups.
With pizza on my mind for Wednesday night pizza dinner we headed over to Albertson’s. They were on sale for 2/$7 and I had a $5 rewards certificate. I paid $1 each!
We go through 500+ envelopes a week at the office and we were out! My oldest has already gone through 2 other binders and I’m getting a bit unhappy about having to buy a 3rd. The envelope’s were $10.99 each and the binder was $19.99. $63.95 on non-fun stuff! Using a Staples rewards certificate to pay… HAPPY!
And I have an example to show you how I earn the rewards certificates… I buy whatever Staples offers that is free after rewards. This is $28 worth of batteries. I will get the $28 I paid back next week and I will use it to pay for items I need. Just another way to stretch your money! I also earned $40 last month bringing in our used ink cartridges to be recycled. Staples gives me $2 for each one. I wish I had done the recycling sooner!
The next few pictures are all sorts of things that I got free at Walgreen’s. These deals are still available through Saturday. I just used register rewards that I earned over black Friday to pay for all of this stuff. My out of pocket was less than $5 and I still have the same about of register rewards I started with! The value before coupons and discounts was over $80!
Muscle recovery anyone? I totally thought this was going to be a pill of some sort…

These cuties were my “fillers”. They will make very nice stocking stuffers! I love to help Santa so I “top off” his stockings with extra goodies!
Free lip gloss! I love the mint-y-ness of these lip glosses. They are also so delicate and thin that they don’t add to the bulk that is my purse!
I forgot this deal-y-o from black friday at Walgreen’s. My Brother in Law asked for iTunes gift cards so this was a no brainer buy.$30 iTunes gift card for $30 and get a $10 Walgreen’s gift card with purchase! I’ve seen buy $50 gift cards and get a $10 reward else where, but never buy $30 get $10… score!
Last but not least is my new penguin ornament. This adorable little things was a gift from a fellow shopper at Walgreen’s. There is a very sweet lady that shops every Sunday at the same time as me. She’s a snow bird so she’s only here half the year so I don’t get to see her sweet face all time. Well, yesterday when I went in to do my shopping I was disappointed that I had missed her as she had been in earlier and I was stopping in later… however she left me this hand painted ornament for my daughters! The toddler especially loves it! Thanks J!

I snagged some awesome "Black Friday" deals at Walgreens early Saturday morning =) I ended up spending $42 for nearly $368 worth of stuff – and I bought the kids tons of stocking stuffers with the $32 in RR I had left over. Gotta love Wags!
