My girls are loving our weekly movie nights. It really breaks up the week and gives them something to look forward to mid-week. The only thing is that our time is really limited after school and we can’t be up all night, so our parties have to be awesome and really quick to get ready for. The Pirate Fairy DVD party we decided to have a little treat with our movie watching to feel like a party without all the work! Here is a link to the trailer for The Pirate Fairy DVD!

On release day, April 1st we were at Walmart bright and early to pick up our copy of The Pirate Fairy! It’s the World of Peter Pan so you know you are in for an adventure! We bought the Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD copy because it comes with a free gift with purchase and it’s the Pixie Hollow Bake-Off DVD which includes 10 animated shorts. The additional DVD is a Walmart exclusive.

The Pixie Hollow Bake Off DVD follows Tinker Bell as she challenges Pixie Hollow’s culinary superstars when she refers to the art of baking as “just tinkering with flour.” Our favorite fairies must use their talents to help Tink in a head-to-head bake-off with head baking fairy Gelata (voice of Giada de Laurentiis) and her Baking Fairies. The winning cake will be featured at Queen Clarion’s Arrival Day Party.

The bonus video is really worth buying and full of fun! My little one has already watched it 6 times!

For the cupcakes, I just bought mini cupcakes and then let the girls add fairy dust {aka sprinkles} to them!

Because a fairy is a little thing, our cupcakes had to be little too!

The Pirate Fairy Movie on DVD is all about following rules and the mess that can happen when you don’t. It also shows that it’s never a good idea to run away from your problems. Strong-willed and adventuresome Fairy Zarina decides to experiment with different colors of fairy dust. She doesn’t follow the rules and causes trouble so she decides to run away. She ends up as the Captain of the pirate ship Skull Rock and the other fairies including Tinkerbell have to help keep Pixie Hollow safe.

The girls loved the movie and had a great movie night!

What fairy power do you wish you had?

  • You cupcakes are cute! We made some themed snacks, too. It was such a good movie – we all loved it!

  • Good idea to just add a little something special to store-bought cupcakes. Sometimes it’s all I can do to just get a DVD in the player for the kids, but a special snack makes it all the more fun for them! It looks like they truly enjoyed the movie and each other’s company! #client
