holiday wishes deliveredFor me the holidays are all about family and making my children’s wishes come true.

I’m lucky that I have the resource to do so and I never take that for granted. It also is what spurs me to want to give gack and help others even more during the holiday season.. I want to make the holidays as magical as possible for my daughters while still remembering how important it is to help others!

For years my daughters holiday wishes have been very easy to satisfy.

They are normally for a new toy or something special for their rooms, but as they have gotten older their wishes have matured too. A couple years ago they started to understand that helping others this time of year feels even better than getting something new for themselves.

One year we even adopted a family and gave them a new computer.

We bought it online (like most of our purchases are made these days) and then we had it shipped directly to our adopted family. Boy would I have loved to have seen the looks on thier faces when that package was delivered!I We always look back at that year as one of our favorites.

Like that computer purchase, every package that ends up on a doorstep started from a wish, and UPSers work tirelessly to deliver everyday wishes throughout the holiday season and beyond. This season, UPS wants to share these magical stories and help by donating $1 to one of their charity partners for every wish submitted up to $100K total donation!

That means you can help a charity in need just by submitting your wish!

To submit your wish just post it on Twitter or Instagram with the campaign hashtag #WishesDelivered and it will automatically be submitted. Another option is to go direct to the UPS wish site, http://www.ups.com/wishes and manually submit it there.

Remember that wishes are to be for someone else.

Submissions should be selfless and meaningful and made on behalf of another person. Maybe there is a local school that really needs some new books… or a shelter that doesn’t have enough warm blankets? Get creative and have fun with this! The possibilities are endless!

Be sure to submit your own wish on Twitter or Instagram by posting your wish with the #WishesDelivered hashtag to help an awesome charity in need!

What’s your wish?
