We all woke up rested and ready to take on the day!

We were going to have breakfast and then head back to Disney World, but after thinking about everything to do at Omni Orlando we decided to make today another relaxation day… especially when we thought about the next 10 days where we will be traveling to so many other places of Florida. We realized that this might be our last time to slow down for awhile. I am so glad we made that decision.

morning coffee

This is how our day ended up starting.

Ash and Pete headed to Mousetrap Crossfit in Orlando for the 6am workout. They go to this box every time we are in the area and they love it. The people there are all wonderful and make the workout fun and challenging. I stayed back at the hotel. My wake up call was by Pete at 5am as he was getting ready to head out. Thankfully my room service coffee was delivered promptly at 6am with soy milk just as I requested. Pete teases me that I love room service coffee more than anything which is totally not true… but I do love it! Being able to enjoy it with a beautiful view over the golf course here made my day even better. I guess the way to my heart being coffee delivered to me first thing in the morning with a beautiful view to enjoy it with isn’t a bad thing right? I mean it could be a lot worse!

When Pete and Ash returned we all showered and got ready for the day. PS. the showers here are awesome and I loved the touch of mint in the toiletries. Staying at as many hotels as we do, I’ve become an expert at shower pressure and shampoo. Just saying…

Once we were all ready we headed downstairs to Trevi’s for breakfast. I’m not going to be able to adequately share how wonderful the breakfast is there, but I will try!

They offer both an a la carte option and a buffet. We opted for the buffet and we all agreed it was one of the best we have ever had. The food was so fresh and there were a lot of options. Even with having so many choices nothing was mass produced. It was all made in small batches in their in house kitchen. Maddie and I couldn’t get enough of the breakfast potatoes and Pete and Ash loved the omelette station. Emmy didn’t see anything she didn’t like. From the fresh fruit to croissants and the oatmeal and grits bar, it was all amazing!

After breakfast we all spent some time working in our rooms. The reality of traveling so much means that that we have to squeeze in work even if we would rather be lounging by a pool. Thankfully we got through our work quickly, the girls included and then it really was pool time!

pool time

The Omni Orlando has quite a few pool and water fun options. There is an adults only pool, family pool, huge lazy river, splash pad, slide, water tower and more. We did them all!

Afternoon comes way too quickly when you are having fun so we decided to take a little break and head to Disney Springs for some vegan ice cream at Erin Mckenna’s Bakery NYC. The drive to Disney World takes about 5-20 minutes making the Omni a great luxury option if you are visiting the parks.

Back at the Omni we explored the resort a bit more and then it was time for dinner at Trevi’s. During breakfast they serve traditional American fare, but for dinner it is all Italian. Not just any Italian food though. This is home cooking at its best in a restaurant setting. It was so good!

We started with fresh bread and roasted garlic.

Gnocchi for Pete and Ash, penne for Maddie and I. You have the option of ordering per person or family style. I am so happy we ordered family style because we couldn’t stop eating!

The desserts looked amazing too! We enjoyed the food so much that we just couldn’t find room for even a bite of dessert. I also overheard another guest saying how great their wine selection was too!

After dinner we headed back to the pool. Emmy’s favorite time to swim is all the time, with maybe a little extra favoriteness given to right before bed. We just couldn’t say no to her. Plus Pete and I love this time of night too. When we got down to the pool there was nobody else there. We had the whole place to ourselves! I headed back up to the room after a bit and Emmy and Pete took a few loops in the lazy river and then made their way back up to the room. Ash and Maddie were already back up there getting ready for bed.
