It’s been quite awhile since I did a daily recap… and I really do love doing them.
Maybe they will be back for good! What do you all think? Daily recaps? Yes, or no?
Here’s a peak into my Sunday. Before the shopping adventure began my oldest and I stopped at 2 very important places {no pictures, sorry}.
1. Starbucks
2. Dollar Tree {6 newspapers}
Then it was off to Rite Aid. These were a $2 money maker.
Then it was Walgreens time! The Kleenex were $.52 a box. I stock up when I can get them for $.50 a box but I was running low and I need to send some into my daughters classroom. The Suave was free after register rewards. The K-cups are priced better than I’ve been around here lately and we are running low. The pens were fillers and the marshmallows were for my hot chocolate. No judging please… I know it’s in the 80′s!
Here is the good stuff! My total was over $50 and after Von’s just4u freebies and the mail in rebate that was in today’s paper this was all FREE! I love free…
And then there was the rain dance. We haven’t had rain in months. Maybe a drizzle once or twice but that’s it. We got back home just in time to get a couple minutes of rain. Looking at these clouds you wouldn’t believe they delivered anything but fleeting moments of shade, but they totally brought enough of the fun watery stuff to make us excited for fall, and it’s promise of rain!

Lianne, I was totally embarrassed to even write that we were running low *AND* I knew you would be mortified! Is it crazy that I think of you when I write certain posts LOL! I need another Office Depot deal quick! The sales on K-cups just aren’t that great lately… bet you guys still have a stash! I also did the deal at Staples for the free cases of paper and reams last week and thought of you then too! I’ll have some rewards money that will need to be cashed out so I’ll be watching for your post on what you next month
How are you guys doing?
We’re doing ok. Lots of side projects, personal issues, work issues, etc, eating up our time. That’s life, huh? Really can only stomach Staples these days and I FEAR a K-cup deal at OD!! LOL! We do have a nice stash – plenty for Dave to drink AND share at work. Staples has helped keep us stocked this year and he’s not going through it as quickly as we feared. At least things wouldn’t be a surprise if another deal popped up, and he could pick out what he wants instead of the non-coffee drinker trying to pick things out. We’ll have a ton of OD rewards to spend next quarter as well, thanks to the school supply deal in July. Dave’s sis and her hubby are both teachers now and I had a ton of stuff sent out to them! That was a lot of fun!
I rather missed hitting up Staples yesterday, but the only thing on the radar for me right now is the ink purchase/double recycle deal. That’s good until the 29th so I’m waiting for the deal to get BETTER.
Then we’ll have one scary Staples rewards check to cash out next month! I don’t usually have a problem doing that though.

Just took a break from my lunch to send another case of paper off to its new home.
I’m getting good about unloading this stuff as soon as I “buy” it. I now have a few coworkers who are drowning in paper!
