Disney Social Media Moms, the invite-only event held once a year at a Disney Park is the modern-day golden ticket. From family fun to experiences money simply can’t buy, we can’t say enough good things about this celebration!

I was invited to attend the 2014 Disney Social Media Moms Celebration #DisneySMMoms. Although I was offered a discounted rate on elements of the trip, I paid the other portion. I was also provided gifts during the conference from conference sponsors.

Not too long ago I had the experience of a lifetime at Disneyland! Since it was my first time attending Disney Social Media Moms Celebration I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect except that it would be nothing short of magical… and it was!

For four amazing days I learned about a lot of aspects of the world of Disney that I had only dreamed of. I enjoyed listening to speakers that inspired me and really made me think about what I want to do with my life.

The absolute best part of the celebration is that I was able to bring my family with me. While I was busy growing professionally and soaking in all things Disney, my family was off making memories and just having fun at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.

We even had quite a few celebrity sightings and meetings. Who doesn’t LOVE the Choo Choo girl?

I was even able to check something off my bucket list. I ran a #RunDisney 2 mile fun run. This was such a huge moment for me. Four years ago I was so sick that walking even 5 steps was almost impossible to do. And here I was finishing two miles. Even though I walked for some of the run, it really felt like I made it to the other side of being sick. I’m so much healthier than I was… and it’s still getting better.

Another highlight was staying at The Disneyland Hotel. I had stayed there in the past, but not since it was completely remodeled. And boy did they do an awesome job! It’s the perfect mix of elegance, fun, and retro cool! We LOVED it!

The conference portion of the celebration wasn’t just fun… it was beyond that. Each of the carefully chosen sponsors was there because they offered value to us and our ability to share as storytellers.

And then there was the time the girls met Anna and Elsa from FROZEN! It was my little one’s dream come true. See the theme of dreams here? The whole thing was like a dream… that came true!

We did a lot of eating too. It’s kinda our thing when we are on vacation. Thankfully Disney is really good at having healthy options too… so although we indulged… we still ate well and with our health in mind… some of the time!

Some of us also had our faces painted…

And we found tons of photo opps!

And then I met Maleficent! We saw an extended trailer of the new movie and it rocked! I will be there opening day to see it. It was THAT good!

There is so much more to share… in fact, I’ve already started writing 10 more stories about everything that happened and I can’t wait to share them with you. Sometimes you really need a mental reboot and that is exactly what happened when I went to Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. Disneyland is my safe place. My happy place. We have so many family memories there and this was an experience that I will never forget!

Do you have a special Disney memory?
