The rain cleared just as we started our day at our host hotel, Hard Rock Hotel Cancun and gave way to a really awesome day in Cancun!

As promised in yesterday’s post, here is a peek inside our family suite. This is the girls’ room with two double beds and a huge Jacuzzi tub! I’ll be sharing a full room review once we get back home.

The first thing we did in the morning was to take in this ocean view. There must be a hundred shades of blue in the water and sky here. It is so relaxing!

There are also tons of places to lounge and are situated on multiple floors, around pools, on the beach, and close to the other amenities, like food and drinks too!

Em and Pete went swimming, and of course, had Pina Coladas at the swim up bar!

After showers and breakfast, it was time for fun. I kept finding these notes everywhere in our room. Emmy would tuck them under my pillow, and put them by the sink. She REALLY didn’t want me to forget that she was going to the kids club today. She LOVES kids’ clubs and is the ultimate connoisseur of them. Ask her anything about any of the ones she has been to, and she will rattle off facts. When we picked her up later, she gave the kids club, “The Little Big Club” at Hard Rock Cancun, 5 stars. She said it was awesome! I’ll share more about this later too!

After Emmy was all checked in at the kids club, Ash and Maddie headed to The Music Lab to learn how to be a DJ.

Pete and I headed down to the beach to watch the waves. There was a red flag warning, so nobody was in the water, but it sure made for some beautiful waves. I could have stayed there all day just watching them!

After their lesson, Maddie and Ashley took over the music at the pool! This was such an amazing experience and a teen favorite. Anyone over 12 can do it, and it is included in your all-inclusive experience!

I already know this is going to be a highlight for years to come. I kind of wish Pete, and I had done it too. It is not every day that you get to DJ at a pool!

The day flew by, and before we knew it, it was time for dinner at Ciao, the Italian restaurant. Again, they had no problem preparing vegetarian and vegan meals. In fact, a great majority of the options were either vegetarian already, or easily adapted to be vegetarian.  The straw was another example of how they have been going above and beyond to make every moment here magical!

Here is a sampling of what we ate…

After dinner, we went down to the lobby which had been transformed into a Día de Muertos celebration.

We enjoyed the music and entertainment, and then we took Ash and Emmy back to the suite for room service dessert of fruit platters, and then bed. They were so tired from all the fun we had.

Pete, Maddie and I went back downstairs to enjoy the party more.

There were characters dressed up and wandering through the area with a full Mexican buffet set up too.

They even had some local vendors there selling their handcrafted goods. We bought Emmy a bracelet, Maddie new earrings, and Ash a painted small surfboard.

On a scale of 1-10, I would give today a 15! It was that amazing!
