Woops, I did it again!

It was such a beautiful day yesterday. Warm, sunny and the skies were so clear you could see for miles. Pete {the husband}  and I decided to get out of the house and get some stuff done, including a 3.5 mile walk. It felt so good to breath in the clean air.We love walking along the river trail. It's the perfect place to use the jogging stroller and/or ride your bike all the way down to the ocean. We're not that brave... but we pretend to be!The big kids got a better offer {movie with Grandma} so it was just us and the toddler. I can't figure out who this message is posted for? There are only pedestrians and bikes on the route? Maybe a warning for aliens?Surprise Pete! Gotcha on film!Yep, I did this again to the tune of 10 more bottles. Today I decided to buy some of the good stuff, you know the $.99 Gallo! Seriously, everyone on my Christmas gift list is getting wine!I needed fillers to use all of my register rewards at Walgreens and the $.39 paper towels were it! I got 11!I … [Read more...]

It was a cold one!

For someone that didn't fight any crowds today at Black Friday, I sure am tired. When I started out shopping today I really didn't think I would get much seeing as though everyone else started hours or even a day before me. I think I still really made out!First stop was Rite Aid. I paid for the scrunci's first and then bought one Philips item at a time using the one before to actually pay. I spend out of pocket $5 and ended with a $5 +up... making this all free! The older girls really wanted to experience Black Friday at Walmart. I couldn't bare to not provide them this learning opportunity. We learned about a whole lotta things at Walmart. For instance we learned to let the crazies just go ahead before they took us out and we learned to always check our receipt after we pay. The latter was not a fun lesson. I always do a rough calculation in my head as I'm shopping. My total was about $10 more than I thought it would be. When I examined the receipt there were 2 items that I was charged … [Read more...]

Shopping Trip Dump {#2} I {heart} FREE!

I started the morning at CVS. I had my $13 quarterly extra care bucks {thanks to my sisters love of CVS and using my card, thanks Sis! Please don't stop :-)} and a $5 beauty rewards {yep, from Sis again}I paid $.15 for it all. The ecb's covered the cvr we have here in CA.I wanted to mention the water. I am a water snob. I love Arrowhead and that's really all I will drink. Arrowhead doesn't have any funky after taste that some others do. Pictured here is the basic water {that's really the name}. It's on sale for $2.22 for a case of 24, limit 4. I tried it last night and it wasn't bad. There is a slight chlorine taste, but if it's cold enough I could probably drink it. I normally drink my water at room temperature {just saying}. This is from last weeks Albertson's ad. Tea $2 - .75 - .75 {doubler}= .50soup 4 @ $1= $4 - 1/4- 1 {doubler}= $2 or .50 each. Remember all the free soup I got from Rite Aid at the beginning of the year, well we are running low and now my oldest and husband are … [Read more...]

Rite Aid $209.34 for $0 Made $78.82 in cash

This was done at 3 stores. There are getting to be a lot of couponers in my area... this is all new to many of them and they are still learning coupon manners. However I did meet a fellow couponer (2 actually, a husband and wife team) that had GREAT manners! They stopped at a bunch of stores and took a bit from each. My kind of money savers! I always end up with what I am hoping to get and yes, it takes more work and time, but I love knowing I'm leaving a bunch behind for others to get in on the deal too! {Hi my new friends (waving)}!So here's what I got:7 Colgate @ $2.95 (20% discount)= $20.653 Neuregen @ $19.99= $59.974 chex @ $1.50= $61 Gerber snack = $2.391 brush cleaner =$3.191 Gerber oatmeal cereal= $2.0712 Stax @ $1= $121 4 way $5.99 (was supposed to be removed, but wasn't and not in my bag either) 1 extra gum $1.293 Afrin @ $5.99= $17.972 Coricidin @ $5.99= $11.988 Stayfree @ $3.99= $31.928 Dixie @ $3.99= $31.924 pretzils @ $.50 (2 bag missing, these were on clearance for 50% … [Read more...]

Soup, it’s what’s for dinner! Rite Aid Money Maker!

Friday and Saturday were big work days... but they were the type were we were mostly driving all around town, not the sit at your desk all day ones {thank goodness, because it was beautiful outside} so that means I stopped at {every} Rite Aid and did some {a lot of} shopping! The registers were really wonky {remember my new favorite word} so my totals never reflected the correct amount until hours later. Saturday was the best because it was the last day for the resolution rewards and the start of the Winter Reward. My last trip into Rite Aid was around 8:00pm saturday night after we left a birthday party. I was very happy {or maybe relieved that it was over?} when out popped the +up's for the soup and then 2 beautiful $20 +Up's one for the winter reward and one for the resolution reward! All said and done I made $40 just buying the soup, and we really like this soup, plus... these will also go great in my homeless care packages! Okay, here goes... 76 Progresso soup's @ $1.50= $11412 … [Read more...]

{HUGE} New Rite Aid Trip $493.65 for $0

I won't lie to you all. I was all about the toilet paper. Who doesn't love a free necessity. It was fun while it lasted and although I would have liked to have gotten more {who doesn't want more when something is free?} I'm okay that there is a limit now {1 per card}. I take couponing with a grain of salt. There's always another deal around the corner and I'm thankful for each and every deal I get.Looking at this picture, you can tell the toilet paper was not even one of my major purchases, funny how that works!4 stores, 1 transaction at each storeStore one4 TGIF @ $.97 = $3.886 4pack toilet paper @ $.80= $4.807 tp single rolls @ $.95= $6.65Total $15.33Used $16 in +UP's Total Paid $-.67 {went into tax}Got back $17 in +UP'sStore two5 TGIF @ $.97= $4.858 hormel @$1.25= $103 Viactiv @ $6= $182 Dixie @ $3.99= $7.98Total $40.83Coupons/discounts used$.50 hormel video value$.50 hormel video value$3/2 dixie video value$9 (3) $3/1 viactiv from this Sundays paper$22 in +Up's$3.99 RA Dixie buy … [Read more...]
