This was definitely not a work day! {Awesome toy deal}

I had great intentions of getting a bunch of stuff done at work today. None of it actually happened. I was just not feeling it today and it worked out great that my husband was out of the office at appointment's for most of the morning so I took that as a "get out of jail free card". I went shopping!My favorite "buy" of the day... these Leap Frog Tag Junior. They are normally $30, on sale at Target for $14.99 AND there is a $10 coupon in the toy catalog. {My store had a bunch of the coupons in the toy section. }... so after all was said and done I paid $4.99 for each one! But it get's better. The books that go with these readers are also on sale. They are 50% off at $5.99. My store was plum out, but I remember seeing some before that had coupons on them. If I remember correctly they were $2 coupons making the books just $3.99! I was able to get a bunch of rainchecks! I have a few little ones that would love to get these for Christmas so I will be buying a couple books to … [Read more...]
Boy oh Boy! Shopping & a "Mom Blog Moment"

I really want to say something like "have you ever had one of those WEEKS?"... but I know we all have! The first day of school was Monday and I'm still feeling a bit off from the kids being gone. It's getting better, but I'm missing them like crazy and I've found I've lost even more time from my day because I now have 2 separate schools to pick up from. This driving around for pick up and drop off SUCKS! I can't wait till I have a kinder, middle schooler and a high schooler... that will REALLY be fun {not}! Thankfully I have a few more years till then. I have to say that middle school has been a really big transition for both my daughter and I. She's growing up and I feel like I am starting a new chapter in my life too, does that make sense? The baby {toddler} and I have been busy which makes the days go by quicker till pick up time. We've been able to squeeze in some shopping... here's what we've managed to get. Walgreen'sEstroven $10 - 3 IP {no longer available} pay $7 get $10 … [Read more...]
Made Money at Target: Not sure it was worth the effort

Hi Coupon Friends! This was supposed to be a super-dooper easy Target trip... not so much... I do think it was worth it though! What do you think? Worth the extra effort or not? Here is how the deal ended up looking: (4) Febreze Noticeables Warmers @ $2.50 Each (1) Febreze Air Effects Spray @ $2.50Total $12.50 - (4) $3/1 Febreze Noticeables Warmer (PG 8/28) {deducted @ $2.50 each) - (1) $1/1 Febreze Air Effects (PG 8/28) Pay $1.50Got a $5 Target Gift Card making this a $3.50 money maker It should have been really easy, right? Well the computers took off $3 for the first 3 coupon and then wouldn't take the last $3 or the $1. The front end supervisor lacked in customer service care... and I was offered either to use my coupons or to get the gift cards... but not both. I thanked him for his lack of help {not really, I just acted confused and said I would pay at the customer service desk} and the educated {she knew how to ring this up perfectly} girl scanned a warmer and then a … [Read more...]

Target! $33.07 for $.70

I'm still not sure how I got all of this for $.70. The Target computers are definitely still not 100% fixed... but the cashiers attitude was definitely better! It was a most pleasant trip, thank you very much! 9 Candles $26.911 cornbread (marked 1.50) charged $2.996 banana's $1.14tax $2.03Total $33.07 Coupons used$1 produce (old target coupon)$1 baked goods ("")$27 (9 $3 Airwick coupons from 11/14 newspaper)Total Paid $.70 Here's the story behind this one. I could point out so much that went wrong, or right depending on how you look at it.1. I was only charged for 4 banana's. I pointed this out and I was told there were only 4. 2. tax was only charged on $21.92 not $26.913. My subtotal is $1.334. The target coupons beeped and were manually entered. I think this is somehow to blame, but looking at this receipt I can't figure out the different discounts the cashier made. I told her it was too low and I should be paying more and she said that the computer is right and that she needed to … [Read more...]
Worth Reading Wednesday: Target Edition

I just read this article. Go ahead and take a second to read it... I'll wait...Okay, where do I start? I noticed this at my local Target (San Diego) awhile back and I immediately pointed it out to the cashier and than the customer service desk. I was buying Smart ones and using a $5/10 coupon that was mailed to me. The computer took off $2 which was the cost of 1 meal while it should have taken off $5. This is really easy to see and fix. The coupon says $5 and it only deducted $2. Pretty straight forward, right? Wrong. Customer service refused to fix it stating the computer knows the truth??? I'm not sure what she was implying, regardless I asked that the whole order be voided and that my coupons be returned. Again, denied. Once the coupons are in the system they can not be returned... I could get the amount I actually paid in cash returned but not the coupon value (fine with me),and not the coupon either.When you run the numbers on this Target is getting reimbursed by the manufacturer … [Read more...]

I love the New Target Coupons!

Did a quick trip to target yesterday! Basket- I used the $10 off Target Home bath furniture item on the basket that was marked down to $10.48. This was on the back of the isle where all the clearance stuff is put. It was in the bath area and it was a Target Home item. I asked the cashier if it would qualify. She looked at me like I had 3 eyes and said "well it's certainly not clothing, looks like a bath item to me". Pillows- These had a tag that said $2.50, but they rang up at $4 each. I had a coupon for $1 off any bed pillow so they were $1.50 each after the price was adjusted to reflect the sign. They are not bad either, especially for $1.50.Chef Michael canned dog food- These were free after .87 free item coupon from a few weeks ago Sundays paper.Not pictured- $3 off any adult denim coupon (bought my husband more Levi jeans) $1 off any bakery item (bought little cup cakes for the kids lunches) $1 off any fresh produce (bought … [Read more...]
