I really want to say something like “have you ever had one of those WEEKS?”… but I know we all have!
The first day of school was Monday and I’m still feeling a bit off from the kids being gone. It’s getting better, but I’m missing them like crazy and I’ve found I’ve lost even more time from my day because I now have 2 separate schools to pick up from. This driving around for pick up and drop off SUCKS! I can’t wait till I have a kinder, middle schooler and a high schooler… that will REALLY be fun {not}! Thankfully I have a few more years till then.
I have to say that middle school has been a really big transition for both my daughter and I. She’s growing up and I feel like I am starting a new chapter in my life too, does that make sense?
The baby {toddler} and I have been busy which makes the days go by quicker till pick up time. We’ve been able to squeeze in some shopping… here’s what we’ve managed to get.
Walgreen’s
Estroven $10 – 3 IP {no longer available} pay $7 get $10 back
Carmax $1.50 – .50 IP {no longer available}= $1 get $1.50 back
Crest 2/$5 – (2) $1 coupons from the last PG= $3 get $3 back
Made some money on these, but it was still a rather boring trip!
Babies R Us
I had a $5 reward check and the baby really likes these so it was an easy choice. I can’t get over how expensive the squeezy’s can be… I {heart} coupons and rewards!
Cascade 4 pk’s @ .97 – $1 coupon from PG and you’ve got yourself a money maker! I bought something {can’t remember} to soak up the extra money. Target normally has their computers cut the coupon value down to the price of the item, but these gave the whole $1.
CVS {2 separate transactions due to PG rule of “4 like coupons”}
$.99 – .75 coupon= $.24 each and they count towards the buy $30 get $10 ecb’s or was that gas?

Office Depot
I’m still liking the back to school sales, but it seems like they are winding down. These reams are $1 each after mail in rebate.
In other news, I’ve decided to go back to being vegan for a month. I’ve been a veg for 24 years and I was a vegan in college… it’s not the easiest lifestyle but I felt pretty great then so I thought I’d give it a go again… the girls will all remain veggies. I got an email asking if I make the girls be vegetarian. Nope! I raised the first 2 as meat eaters and they have each decided on their own to switch. The baby has such picky tastes and is super sensitive to foods that she is a veggie at this point. I introduced her to meat and it was not a happy meeting… I tried a couple more times with the same results so I decided I would let her decide if she wanted to eat meat when she was older.
Any other veggie/vegans out there?
