Looking for some football viewing food? I’ve got it covered for you today with my seven layer nachos. These are big on flavors and big on mess, but no need to worry because I also have our partner Persil here sponsoring this post and cleaning up any messes on our clothes.
I can’t stop thinking about football food!
Seriously isn’t it some of the best? Dripping with sauces and dips and cheese… always a lot of cheese! I was just talking to my sister today to finalizing the menu for the big game and the number one thing we both wanted were my seven layer nachos! These nachos rock!
Here is how to make them:
Start by layering tortillas onto a platter and drizzling your favorite nacho cheese sauce. I alternate between store bought and homemade (mild shredded cheddar cheese, minced garlic, vegetable broth and salt/pepper) depending on how much time I have.
Next add scoops of refried beans.
On top of that is an extra large serving of salsa!
Next put huge spoonfuls of guacamole on top. Don’t skimp… pile it high!
Almost done… just a couple more things to add… like tons of sour cream! You can’t have too much can you?
Now sprinkle some jalapenos onto the top of your creation… and by sprinkle, I mean put a bunch on!
I know that this is a very messy thing to eat, but that is part of the fun. The girls love to dig right in and inevitably they get cheese all over their clothes… especially Emmy. I keep napkins next to it and a bottle of Persil® ProCleanTM 2 in 1 on hand for after the big game when her clothes are in need of some serious cleaning. We just started using Persil and our clothes look better than ever! Not even sticky cheese can stand up to Persil! I’m not the only one who’s noticed what an awesome job Persil does. Consumer Reports even named it their new top-rated detergent!
Be sure to visit the Persil ProClean Facebook page for additional information about Persil, stain removal tips and fun games and prizes.
