I’m on a mission to finally lose the 20 pounds I gained {and lost multiple times} over the past 3 years. It’s been a battle and I finally understand that there is no magic solution. Just hard work and staying committed to the goal.

I’ve learned that there are some tools, tips and tricks that can help us achieve our healthy weight loss goals.

Here they are:

1. Get moving. Put on your walking shoes and get going.

You don’t have to commit to running 20 miles a day to see results. Even just a 20 minute walk a day is a move in the right directions.

2. Find the time. There are no excuses.

It’s raining. I’m tired. I have too much work to do. These are all valid reasons not to get your daily exercise in. But non of them will help you reach your goal. Weather isn’t much of an issue here, but we do get the occasion rain storm so we have a treadmill at home to use when it’s not save to be outside. This way there are no weather related reasons not to exercise.

3. Always have good snacks on hand.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been out running errands and suddenly I become super hungry. Having something to eat already planned is so much better than just grabbing something unhealthy at a fast food restaurant. I am loving the Slimfast® Greek Yogurt & Honey, honey Snack Bars and I’ve been carrying them around with me. They are only 110 calories so they work perfectly into my meal plans. 4. Stay hydrated. 

I’m sure you’ve heard this over and over again but it’s true. It helps you feel full so you don’t want to eat as much and it’s just plain ‘ole good for your body. I feel so much better all around when I’m not dehydrated.
