I've actually won a few really cool prizes! I need to back up here for a second. The past 3 weeks or so I've been busy working on a limited time job. Yep, a J-O-B. A business that I have always thought was majorly cool needed help in a specific area and I happened to have experience in said area. I've always felt that I had more than enough on my plate everyday with my normal job and being a mom... but I thought it would be fun... and it has. So instead of blogging I've been passing out as soon as I can {aka. after the kids are in bed}.I didn't want to completely be out of the loop so I've still been keeping up on my google reader {love it} and I've seen some really great giveaways posted in blog land and on company websites. My oldest has really been into the whole giveaway thing {she loves instant wins} and she would find one and make me enter... so with her help I've won:$100 office depot gift card$15 amazon gift card$10 book cashtons of random couponsBut my absolute favorite win … [Read more...]
Lessons Learned from The BLACKOUT!

{photo credit delawareonline}Hi Coupon Friends,I thought I'd do a recap of all the lessons I learned during last Thursdays nights blackout. All throughout the night I just kept thinking that this was such a good trial run to see where we were at in case a natural disaster happened. My family didn't like my logic much... something about it not really being a "trail run" as this was an emergency of sorts! It all started as we were about to go for a hike Thursday afternoon. I recognized we were having a power outage... but I had no idea it was so wide spread. It took a couple hours before that was known so we went about with our plans...We loaded up into the car, that is in the garage, behind the closed garage … [Read more...]

Wow! Crock Pot Girls!

I love my crock pot! I especially love it on Christmas Eve when I make hot apple cider! It's starting to get closer to crock pot season... with back to school behind us, with the days getting shorter and colder. Crock pots can save you so much money and time. You can prepare dinner in the crock pot and let it cook all day on low and come home to a home cooked, super yummy meal! Another great feature of the crock pot is to be able to take a cheaper cut of meat and turn it into a super tender meal. Now, I'm no super crock pot cooker... but have you heard of Crock Pot Girls? They just started a Facebook page on August 19th of this year {like 13 days ago} and almost have 1 million likes! Wow, just wow! I thought it was so cool how a few girls had an idea and then they grew it into something so big, and so quick! What do you guys think? … [Read more...]
