Boy oh Boy! Shopping & a "Mom Blog Moment"

I really want to say something like "have you ever had one of those WEEKS?"... but I know we all have! The first day of school was Monday and I'm still feeling a bit off from the kids being gone. It's getting better, but I'm missing them like crazy and I've found I've lost even more time from my day because I now have 2 separate schools to pick up from. This driving around for pick up and drop off SUCKS! I can't wait till I have a kinder, middle schooler and a high schooler... that will REALLY be fun {not}! Thankfully I have a few more years till then. I have to say that middle school has been a really big transition for both my daughter and I. She's growing up and I feel like I am starting a new chapter in my life too, does that make sense? The baby {toddler} and I have been busy which makes the days go by quicker till pick up time. We've been able to squeeze in some shopping... here's what we've managed to get. Walgreen'sEstroven $10 - 3 IP {no longer available} pay $7 get $10 … [Read more...]

Made Money at Target: Not sure it was worth the effort

Hi Coupon Friends! This was supposed to be a super-dooper easy Target trip... not so much... I do think it was worth it though! What do you think? Worth the extra effort or not? Here is how the deal ended up looking: (4) Febreze Noticeables Warmers @ $2.50 Each (1) Febreze Air Effects Spray @ $2.50Total $12.50 - (4) $3/1 Febreze Noticeables Warmer (PG 8/28) {deducted @ $2.50 each) - (1) $1/1 Febreze Air Effects (PG 8/28) Pay $1.50Got a $5 Target Gift Card making this a $3.50 money maker It should have been really easy, right? Well the computers took off $3 for the first 3 coupon and then wouldn't take the last $3 or the $1. The front end supervisor lacked in customer service care... and I was offered either to use my coupons or to get the gift cards... but not both. I thanked him for his lack of help {not really, I just acted confused and said I would pay at the customer service desk} and the educated {she knew how to ring this up perfectly} girl scanned a warmer and then a … [Read more...]

30 Days About Me: 11-18

On My! I am so far behind, but I'm NOT giving up. You all are stuck getting to know me more! Here we go! Day 11- Favorite Band/Artist- When I was talking about my favorite songs I totally missed one. I forgot "Heaven" by Warrent {this video almost ruins the song for me though, yuck}. When day 11 was supposed to be posted it was announced that Jani Lane {the lead singer} had been found dead and it didn't feel right posting at the time. So I'm going to say Warrent is my favorite group... but I only like the one song. I am strange! Day 12- Something you are OCD about The toilet paper roll and watching my kids. I'm the one who makes my 11 year old still hold hands in the parking lot and I freak if I can't see any of them for even a second... but I'm totally OCD about the direction of the toilet paper roll. It has to roll under. Remember that cottonelle contest to see which way people liked the roll to go. The winner was over and I was actually pissed off {pun intended}. Day 13- … [Read more...]

Money Saving Tidbit: How to use a rebate credit card

Hi Coupon Friends! I used to DREAD the rebates that came as pre-paid credit cards. They have caused me embarrassment and hassle and I almost decided that they were just not worth the hassle. I would end up using them for small Internet purchases and I would always end up loosing some of the money at the end because it was just so difficult to use a $2.31 {exactly} balance. Getting a cashier anywhere to understand that you have to enter the amount to charge exactly $2.31 when you were spending more was not fun. Then I realized that there was a very easy solution. Amazon gift cards. You can buy an Amazon gift card for any amount. Just specify whatever is on the pre-paid card and have the gift card emailed to you instantly. I shop at Amazon ALL THE TIME so I'm always happy to have gift card balances! How do you guys use your pre-paid gift cards? PS. I just realized that it looks like I'm really pushing Amazon so I thought I would mention that I have no affiliation with Amazon. I … [Read more...]
