{Insert Better Title}

Gosh guys, I have major writer block. Have you ever had one of those periods where you feel like everything is half a**? That's me right now. So much to do that the basics are all that are getting my attention.I've been talking to you all in my mind for weeks. It goes something like this... "I must remember to tell my "Coupon friends" XYZ". Then I sit down to actually do it and it becomes mush. I can get half a post done and then I get sidetracked.It's strange. I think I might have a bit of "summer fever".Some people get spring fever, not me... I get summer fever. {Anyone else?}Summer Fever {as it applies to me}- I have to garden. Must plant tomatoes and pumpkins. Have to eat healthy. Remember all of that free mac n cheese and other prepackaged foods, well they have left the building. They are {hopefully} in the bellies of the patrons of the food bank. Can't function without exercising.I've been going for tons of walks. We've been eating watermelon, apples, rhubarb, cherries, peaches … [Read more...]

Swagbucks Update!

I wrote this post almost a year ago {11months and 3 weeks ago if you are counting} it's interesting to see where I started with Swagbucks and how I did after a year.I chose today since it's Mega Swagbucks Day!As of 5/6/2011 I have earned $110. After the initial fun of taking surveys wore off I started earning just for doing searches. I still find it really easy to earn money just by doing the searches you regularly would. $110 isn't a huge amount of money for a years worth of work... but it was doing something I would normally do with no extra effort. If I had worked it and done more surveys and other ways to earn I would have earned even more! I'm sticking with Swagbucks...............Last Thursday (well the one before yesterday) I finally joined swagbucks. Yes, it took me forever to do it. Why? I don't know. Laziness, reluctance, too busy? Maybe all of them. Finally I joined under the referral of a "coupon friend".My sweet husband laughed at my ambition to be a "high earner", but the … [Read more...]

Worth Reading Wednesday: Ralphs update edition

Hi Guys!After my last "heart pouring out onto the blog" post, I decided to take things a little lighter today.Yesterday I went to Ralphs. Okay, so that's not news worthy... but these tidbits might be:Ralph's Rewards should be in you rmailbox soon, maybe even today. The cashiers said they hadn't seen any yet and that they normally do by the 4th or 5th.I'm just as excited about the coupons that they include as I am about the actual reward.I'm getting $8 back which would mean that I spent $800. But I didn't even spend $20. I love mega sales and double coupons.I used 2 "like" coupons and both doubled.There are some good deals this week. Check them out at Daily Coupon Adventure.Anything catch your eye? … [Read more...]

I love America {Not High Gas Prices}

I remember back in 2001 I was visiting my husbands family back in Pennsylvania.Growing up in California, snow was a fantasy. To see it falling {this was in April} at that time a year was a freak experience I was told. I of course knew that it was a welcome to Penn. gift to me {I don't think the world evolves around me, just the snow}. Back to that trip. All over the news and all over the newspapers and all anyone could talk about was that gas was going to be more than $4 within the next month and that we were all majorly screwed.Being a new mom I was worried for my little family. I had just stared hardcore couponing and I decided that I would pump up my stockpile even more once we got back home. If the economy was going down, my new baby girl would not feel it.Once home the reality hit that in order to coupon even more I would have to drive more which would mean more gas. More gas meant more money.We never did hit $4. I found a happy medium by combining trips to the stores all on one … [Read more...]
